The departments of Colombia with greater diversity of bamboo forests are Norte de Santander, Cundinamarca, Cauca, Valle del Cauca, Antioquia, Huila, Nariño and Quindío. Most belong to the genus Chusquea species (30%), the others Neurolepis genres, Arthrostylidium, Aulonemia, Elytrostachys, Merostachys, Rhipidocladum, Guadua and Otatea. |
